Angel Gomes is prepared to join another Premier League side or move abroad once his contract with Manchester United expires, reports say.

The 19-year-old has rejected a lucrative £30,000-a-week contact offer to commit his future to United and becomes a free agent in July.

Gomes has spent 14 years at United, but has grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Telegraph claim Gomes will consider offers from France, Italy, Germany and Portugal before making a decision on his future.

Jadon Sancho’s success at Borussia Dortmund has popularised young English talent moving abroad for regular playing time and Gomes may follow in the former Manchester City star’s footsteps.

Big clubs in Portugal and France have expressed an interest in Gomes, who has played just ten times for the United senior squad.

Gomes also has interest to stay in the Premier League, although mooted suitors Chelsea have not presented him with an offer to become a Blue.

Solskjaer was asked about Gomes’ future this week ahead of the expiration of his deal and the United boss described the attacking midfielder as a ‘top’ talent.

‘Well, you can ask Angel why he’s not signed,’ Solskjaer said.

‘He’s not signed yet, there’s still [time]… I don’t know where [or] what the talks are behind the scenes.

Frank Lampard was also quizzed about his side’s interest in Gomes, but the Chelsea boss flatly denied there had been any contact with the playmaker.
