Bayern Munich will not give up their interest in signing Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi and are expected to make a new £45million bid this week. That figure represents £10m increase on the offer they made on transfer deadline day in January.

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic reaffirmed his interest in the player last week to German newspapers and the Bundesliga champions have been undeterred in their pursuit, despite new manager Frank Lampard's insistence that he wants the 18-year-old to be central to his plans at Chelsea.

Bayern have gone all out to make Hudson-Odoi the centrepiece of their rebuilding at the club with the departures of veterans Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

Hudson-Odoi is training at Cobham as he recovers from injury, while his team-mates have been in Dublin last week and fly to Japan on tour this week.

Lampard revealed last week that he will sit down with Hudson-Odoi and attempt to convince him that he can be a long-term star at Chelsea.

They would certainly resist selling him this summer given their transfer ban and the departure of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, yet the fact that Bayern are proving so persistent means they run the risk that the German club sign him for a minimal compensation payment on a pre-contract in January.

On Saturday Lampard saw his Chelsea youngsters impress in a 4-0 win over St Patrick's Athletic in Dublin, with two goals from Olivier Giroud and one each from Mason Mount and Emerson.

American Christian Pulisic, who signed from Borussia Dortmund in January for £58m but remained on loan in Germany until the end of the season, will join up with Chelsea on their tour of Japan next week.

He impressed Lampard in the USA's 2-1 win against Jamaica in the Gold Cup final last weekend and the manager said: 'Christian joins us on Tuesday. He's had a short break and he wants to get back with the group quickly, which I certainly appreciate.

'It's a big move for him to a huge club and he's a top young player who is only going to go one way in terms of his career.

'He's a big signing for Chelsea. I look forward to working with him. We have injuries, people back at Cobham now, who are influential players for us in similar positions as himself, so we'll need him. I haven't met him, I've spoken to him, but he made a good impression straight away.'
