Cesc Fabregas has opened up about being snubbed by Arsenal in 2014 and revealed it was one conversation with Jose Mourinho that convinced him to join Chelsea.

Fabregas had a hugely successful spell in west London, helping the club to two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and a League Cup during his five-year spell before leaving for Monaco.

The north London club opted against activating their buy-back clause to re-sign the midfielder when he left Barcelona in 2011, which led to him moving to Stamford Bridge.

“Definitely this was my first option, in my mind I’m telling everyone I’m going to Arsenal, this is what I want.

“The reality is that I went there, won two Premier Leagues, which was my dream, FA Cup, League Cups, Europa League.

The government has also issued its guidance on social distancing.

Everyone should do what they can to stop coronavirus spreading.
