Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was delighted with Eden Hazard's performance as a striker for their 2-0 win over Manchester City.

Sarri said, "We had Eden for the first time in that position [striker] and in the first 20 or 25 minutes we didn't work well in the defensive movements in the opposition half, but fortunately we defended well in our half.

Asked about persisting with Hazard's new role, Sarri added: "He had some problems at the beginning of the match but he was great in the second half.

"We're very happy with the win, we know it's not easy to beat City in this moment.

"We played very well in the last few minutes of the first half, and the first 20 minutes of the second, and in the end we deserved to win.

We will play like today in the future, for certain matches of course."

Goals either side of the break, from N'Golo Kante and David Luiz, ensured it was the Blues who came out on top, ending City's unbeaten Premier League run in the process.
