Chelsea stars Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount bagged a goal apiece as Frank Lampard’s men beat Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge. The Blues academy graduates were not the only players to impress for Chelsea, though, as they put Dean Smith’s side to the sword.

Chelsea bounced back from three games without a win as they put the Villains to the sword on home turf on Wednesday night.

Abraham planted his header firmly beyond the despairing reach of Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton following Reece James’ cross.

Mount was on hand to cancel out Trezeguet’s equaliser in the opening minutes of the second half as he reacted quickest to Abraham’s lay-off.
