Chelsea stunned Manchester City with a confident performance to secure a 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

N'Golo Kante put the hosts ahead with a thunderous strike from the edge of the area before David Luiz nodded home from a corner to claim all three points.

There were several crucial displays from the Blues' starting XI, including a midfield masterclass from one of Kante's team-mates.

Take a look below to reveal our Chelsea player ratings against Manchester City.

Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7

Made a couple of top saves, but really should have been busier tonight.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 8

One of his finest displays of the season kept Leroy Sane at bay. Nothing outstanding going forward, but coped very well at the back considering his opposition. Man of the Match contender.

Antonio Rudiger – 7

Produced some big, bold challenges to deal with City's attacking talents. Robust.

David Luiz – 8

A much-needed return to form. His passing was excellent at times, and was rewarded with a good goal.

Marcos Alonso – 7

Ruined by Raheem Sterling on one occasion as he tried to shepherd him out of play, but solid for the vast majority of the game.

Jorginho – 6

A streetwise display had the City players riled up. His passing looked off though.

N'Golo Kante– 7

His terrific drilled strike set Chelsea on course for victory. Needs more ruthless attacking moments to justify his role further up the field.

Mateo Kovacic– 8

Excellent tracking back, excellent in the build-up for attacking moves. Kovacic covered a lot of ground today and was confident in all areas.

Pedro– 7

What he lacked in direct goal threat, he made up for defensively. Pedro was disciplined throughout and adapted his game to help in his own half.

Eden Hazard– 7

Lacks height and presence to make a huge impact through the middle, but still produced two perfect balls to provide two perfect assists.

Willian– 6

Useful going forward with some neat touches and clever flicks, but he should have scored.
