Chelsea have acted decisively in the transfer window by signing RB Leipzig star Timo Werner for a reasonable £47million and the striker has now revealed he turned down Manchester United and Liverpool to move to Stamford Bridge.

Werner has explained why he rejected Chelsea's Premier League rivals and even turned down a big-money offer in Asia.

"Inter, Manchester United and Liverpool wanted me? Yes, I could have gone to these teams too," Werner told Sportbuzzer.

"The entire Chelsea package in the end turned out to be the best in my career. Money played a marginal role."

"Chelsea is a leading club in European football. There is a team of great quality, we want to get to the top. I don't regret my decision for even a second."
