Copa America 2019: 3 Things to Look Forward to as Brazil Face Bolivia

Below is a summary of the full article. Click here for the full version or go back to Chelsea Live

The Copa America is set to begin on Friday, with hosts Brazil taking on Bolivia in the opening game.

The last time Brazil won anything of note on the international stage, barring the Confederations Cup, was the 2007 Copa America in Venezuela.

Although Bolivia have previously won the Copa America, back in 1963 on home soil, their recent form suggests that it is unlikely they will cause an upset.

Here are three things to look out for in the opening encounter between Brazil and Bolivia: With Neymar out of the tournament after he ruptured his ankle ligament during the warmup game against Qatar, the onus rests on Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho to be the creative outlet for the team.

Having had a poor season for the Blaugrana, Coutinho will be keen to restore his credentials during the Copa America and Brazil will need him to step up if they are to have any chance of winning the tournament.

Although the Selecao are the favourites, it has been a while since they last won the tournament, and the pressure will be on them to deliver the trophy at home, similar to how it was during the 2014 World Cup.

Coach Tite would be keen to ensure they make the most of their tag of favourites and bring the trophy home.
