Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz has revealed he knows which Kai Havertz will sign for this summer - and says the deal is just waiting for "the decisive call".

Havertz is believed to be next on Frank Lampard's shopping list after Chelsea splashed out £89million on Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech ahead of next season.

But the £75million-rated attacking midfielder has attracted the attention of other top clubs around Europe after scoring 17 goals in all competitions for Leverkusen this season.

Havertz has been linked with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool - although Chelsea have for some time been considered favourites to sign the 21-year-old.

And negotiations between Chelsea and Leverkusen over Havertz's signature are at an advanced stage, according to one report.

Head coach Bosz said Havertz was handling the transfer speculation well, but was coy when asked where his star player's destiny lay.

“I won’t tell, it’s his business,” Bosz told German news agency DPA.

“I talk to Kai a lot and try to sense what all this does to him – the daily transfer rumours, for example – and I notice again and again that Kai handles it very well.”

Asked if he knew when the expected move would happen, Bosz said: “It’s impossible to say. Maybe the decisive call will come today, maybe next week, maybe not at all."

While Bosz wouldn't reveal Havertz's next move, it has been reported that a deal between Chelsea and Leverkusen has almost been agreed.

According to TeamTalk, talks are well advanced and Chelsea are "increasingly confident" of landing Havertz.

The publication reports that under the structured deal, Chelsea will make a substantial up front payment, with further payments spread over the course of the playmaker's five-year contract.

However, the deal is not expected to be announced until later this summer, with sporting director Rudi Voller having insisted Havertz must stay for the remainder of Leverkusen's Europa League campaign.
