However, according to The Athletic, the injury is not as bad as first feared, and Mount could be back sooner than anticipated - though he is unlikely to feature .

The midfielder underwent an X-ray on Wednesday morning that found no ligament damage in his right ankle, bringing some much-needed positive news on the injury front for the Chelsea boss.

Mount has apparently already begun his rehabilitation with a session of hydrotherapy at Chelsea's Cobham training ground, and is scheduled to undergo another precautionary scan later this week.
