Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims he still has the backing of the Old Trafford board and is not feeling the heat – despite Manchester United ’s worst start for 27 years.

Despite mounting injuries and their worst start since the 1992-93 season, Solskjaer is confident United are heading in the right direction under him.

“There’s always pressure when you’re here, but of course I’m confident in what we’re doing,” the Norwegian said.

United host Leicester on Saturday after picking up just two points from their last three games.

Solskjaer added: “I’ve obviously not been involved in all the discussions but I’m pretty confident we’ll get this sorted.

Former Old Trafford stopper Edwin van der Sar claimed this week that the No.1 is not irreplaceable.

Crystal Palace , West Ham and Everton are all above them in the table, as are Leicester.
