Parma sporting director Marcello Carli insists Maurizio Sarri was no failure at Juventus.

Sarri led Juve to the Scudetto in his first season in charge, but lost his job after failure in the Champions League.

"I think Juventus sacked him because they realised that it was easier to change Sarri than 4-5 players.

"The last year at Napoli he closed with 91 points, went to Chelsea and won the Europa League, then at Juventus he won the championship.

In the Champions League he went out against Olympique Lyon because of the first leg and that one, yes, they got it wrong.

We have not seen that choral game that he has in head, perhaps the characteristics of the Juve players did not best suit his idea of football but this is a different story.
