Chelsea were handed a two-window transfer ban earlier this year after breaking regulations over the signing of youth players.

After a mixed start to the season, Frank Lampard will be desperately hoping that Chelsea will be able to add reinforcements to their squad in January.

As it stands the Blues will not be able to make any transfers again in the next transfer window, as a result of the embargo issued by FIFA.

There is a hope within the club that the ban will be dropped to just one transfer window, meaning they would be able to sign players in January.

Chelsea are waiting for the appeal date to be set and CAS released their latest list of hearings on Friday, August 30, however once again Chelsea were not on it.

Zaha would certainly add to the Blues' attacking prowess and has a wealth of Premier League experience under his belt.

And, according to the Mirror, the Blues have already contacted top football agents to make them aware of their January transfer window plans.
