Former Premier League striker Emile Heskey has said that signing Jadon Sancho in the summer would prove to be a good move for the future for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp - but has warned that the youngster that he may not get game time ahead of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane next season.

Speaking to , former Reds striker Heskey has said that signing Sancho will add longevity to Klopp’s Premier League leaders.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are among the teams said to be interested in the Borussia Dortmund winger, who is said to have an asking price of around £109 million.



You’d like to think that Sancho has the quality to get in the side but it will be very tough to get in ahead of Salah or Mane.”

“When you look at Jadon Sancho’s age, he will always be an asset to Liverpool.

“When you look at the Liverpool frontline, you’ve got Mane and Salah as the goal-getters and that is exactly what they do well,” he added “They command a respect from defenders as a result.

“What can he add to the squad that is going to give Liverpool that little bit more longevity.” However, the former England striker did have a worry about the amount of game time that the 20-year-old would get at Anfield should he complete a move.
