After an up-and-down season at Stamford Bridge Italian manager Maurizio Sarri looks set to move to Juventus after Chelsea agreed a compensation fee in excess of £5m.

Sarri won the Europa League, guided the team to the Carabao Cup final and finished third, yet many Chelsea supporters found it difficult to warm to the 60-year-old, questioning his tactics and team selection.

Even though the Blues recorded a 2-1 win thanks to controversial late goals from Cesar Azpilicueta and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Sarri was subject to a torrent of vitriol while his side were 1-0 down.

The question now will, of course, turn to who will replace Sarri, with Chelsea legend Frank Lampard the hot favourite.

Sarri himself allegedly decided the time had come to move on when he heard supporters abusing him with particular venom during Chelsea's away victory over Cardiff in March.

Angry fans chanted "Sarri out" and "f*** Sarri-ball", relating to the football philosophy the coach had tried to implement on the team.

This is not the first time Blues fans have showed their opposition to a manager, with the likes of Luiz Felipe Scolari and Rafael Benitez also feeling the wrath of disgruntled supporters in the past.
