Joe Willock has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal.

The England Under-21 international, 20, has started Arsenal’s first three Premier League fixtures of the campaign.

And will now extend his Emirates stay until June 2023.

"Joe has progressed a lot in the last year," Unai Emery said. "He is technically strong and has shown the confidence to take responsibility and play his game whatever the occasion or opposition.

"I'm looking forward to working with to help him develop further and fulfil his potential."

Wanted: James Maddison

Manchester United are monitoring Leicester playmaker James Maddison.

That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who claim Leicester are likely to demand a similar price to that of Harry Maguire - who signed for £80million in August.

The report claims Ed Woodward and Co are hopeful that Maddison’s popular England colleagues Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard can persuade the 22-year-old to join next summer.

Maddison is also reportedly being targeted by Liverpool and Premier League champions Manchester City.

Wilfried Zaha sacks agent

Wilfried Zaha is set to leave his agent after failing to seal a move away from Crystal Palace in the summer.

The forward is contracted with Unique Sports Management (USM), who brokered some of the biggest deals of the summer, including Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s £50million move from Selhurst Park to Manchester United.

Company director Will Salthouse was informed of Zaha’s wish to end the contract in writing, according to The Times.

The report claims the FA, who deal with contracts between players and agents, has been notified of a “dispute” between Zaha and his representatives.

Palace wanted around £80million for Zaha and received offers from Arsenal and Everton, which they rejected.
