Arsenal are demanding £8.8million to sell Laurent Koscielny in the current transfer window.

Meanwhile, the club this morning confirmed 21-year-old midfielder Ben Sheaf has joined Doncaster on a season-long loan.

It is possible Koscielny could seek to explore buying himself out of Arsenal contract in order to become a free agent.

Bordeaux have hinted they will offer Koscielny a three-year deal, a length of contract the Gunners are unwilling to match.

Koscielny will continue to train at London Colney with the fringe and youth-team players left behind from Emery’s 29-man squad that travelled to the US.

The 33-year-old defender has made it clear he wants to quit the club he joined in 2010 and return to France, with Bordeaux, Rennes and Lyon all interested in pursuing a deal.

Koscielny has a year left on his current contract—worth an initial £90,000-a-week—and Arsenal rejected a request from the centre-back to release him from those final 12 months.
